Asha Means Life: A Continuation


Eight months after the first image had been created, the series “Asha Means Life” was growing rapidly and taking twists and turns I could never have imagined. By April 2012, the distinct personalities of each family member had emerged more forcefully to me. The children were changing and maturing before my lens. Asha’s relationship yielded a new pregnancy. The family, like so many other Americans at the time, would experience the loss of the home they had lived in for twenty years to forfeiture.
